DIP Switch search for term

The "DIP" in DIP switch in an acronym for dual inline package. A DIP switch is an electrical circuit composed of a set of individual two-way switches. Each switch can either be in the "on" position or the "off" position with one position conducting current and the other position inhibiting current.

DLX search for term

DLXi is a RISC microprocessor design from John L. Hennessy and David A. Patterson. This microprocessor is based on the 32-bit MIPS microprocessor, though the design is simplified. The DLXi ISAi was designed mainly for teaching purposes and it discussed in detail in the popular computer architecture book from Hennessy and Patterson.
